We held our annual ABLE Youth Christmas party today at Berry's Chapel Church in Franklin. We had a good crowd and good food, and better fellowship. The kids made ornaments with help from Vanderbilt Tri Delta ladies while the parents, board members, and volunteers mingled. After lunch our famous Thunder Cheerleaders showed off a new cheer, and then awards were handed out. This year our Frank Parrish Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Byron Personett for his support, dedication, attention to detail, and love for the program. I once heard "a program is only as good as its' volunteers", and if that is the case, we have a pretty darn good thing going on! Thanks to all who made the day a success, especially those who stayed to clean up. God bless you all. Have a happy holiday season.
I heard the party was quite a success! :)
