We held our annual Walk & Roll today in Centennial Park. This is an unusual event; 4 non-profit organizations, all who work for/with people with disabilities, join together to raise funds and awareness for the disabled population. All proceeds raised are split equally between the organizations.
We were blessed with good weather, great sponsors, and as usual a wonderful group of volunteers.
Rudy Kalis from Channel 4 Sports was our emcee and helped us kick off the Walk, Vanderbilt's Tri-Delta sorority sent over some terrific volunteers, as well as the Occupational Therapy Department from Belmont University.
HCA TriStar was our largest corporate sponsor, along with Purity Dairy.
Reagan won first prize for raising the most money for the event, and Braden won first place for best costume. When you look through the pictures in the photo album you will notice a theme in all the pictures: smiles. It was a great day enjoyed by all........
Beautiful Day for the event. Really love the Pumkin Head, but the Police Officer clearly takes the prize. Way to go Reagan!! Thanks to all of those who came out & good job on the effort to raise mone7 & help ABLE Youth continue to thrive!!
